Our Welcoming Interactive is just 6 weeks away! Here are our top 3 reasons to attend.
1. You will be inspired
We have two inspirational keynote speakers: Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson and Roanoke, VA Delegate Sam Rasoul. Wilkerson’s book, The Warmth of Other Suns, tells the epic story of the Great Migration, one of the largest migrations in American history. Del. Rasoul spearheaded the #RealRoanoke movement to counter unwelcoming remarks about refugees in 2015.
Their remarks will provide unique perspectives on welcoming through the lens of migration and through the lens of a welcoming leader taking a stand in a challenging climate.
2. You can expand your network
Collaborate, connect, and exchange ideas with Welcoming America Network members from across the US and attendees from across the globe. You will make connections here that we hope will last beyond the Interactive and help to strengthen your welcoming work. See which cities and nonprofits are in our network.
3. You can learn the latest in Welcoming
We have substantive, interactive workshops and cafes ranging from addressing race in welcoming work to a global idea exchange to developing a communications strategy. We’re sure that you will find workshops or roundtables to pique your interest! You will also have plenty of informal opportunities to exchange ideas and talk with welcoming experts and your peers. Learn more about the sessions.
Be sure to register soon for the Welcoming Interactive. Our early-bird rate of $150 ends on March 15. Register now and secure the lowest registration rate.
